Who processes your data

This website belongs to the holiday home Waterballet in Villecroze. Responsible for processing your data is Susan van der Laan, reachable at kens.vdlaan@planet.nl and +31 6 10 15 80 54.

What data and why

If you fill in the request form, we process the details you enter yourself:

  • name and email address, so we can reply. These two are required
  • phone number, if you prefer to be called. This is optional
  • arrival and departure dates, which you pick in the calendar
  • the number of adults (required) and the number of children (optional), to see whether your party fits
  • whether you want the mezzonette as well, since that changes the price and the number of beds
  • your question or remark, if you write one

Legal basis

We process the form data to take steps at your request towards a rental agreement, the basis set out in article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR.

In addition, technical data including your IP address is processed when you visit the site. That rests on a legitimate interest (article 6(1)(f)): the site has to be available and secure, and the map has to be able to show the surroundings.

Who else sees your data

We do not sell anything on. Three parties are involved:

  • Tally (Tally Forms BV, Belgium) handles the request form. The form only loads after you have picked a period in the calendar. From that moment Tally sees your IP address and stores data on your device to keep your input.
  • Bunny.net (BunnyWay d.o.o., Slovenia) serves the website and keeps technical logs, including IP addresses.
  • The OpenStreetMap Foundation provides the map on this site. As soon as the map loads, they see your IP address. Nothing is stored on your device for it.

Where the data is held

Tally and Bunny.net are European companies and store the data in Europe. That was a deliberate choice when building this site.

Both use support parties outside the European Economic Area for parts of their service, for example to trace faults. That happens under the standard safeguards in their processing agreement. So this site is not entirely free of transfers outside the EEA.

How long we keep it

Requests that do not lead to a booking are kept for 6 months. If your request does lead to a booking, we keep the data as long as needed for the stay and our records, and after that for the statutory retention periods.

The technical logs from the hosting are kept no longer than needed to keep the site available and secure and to resolve faults.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own, uses no analytics and does not track you. Opening a page sends nothing to Tally.

If you pick a period in the calendar, the Tally form loads. Tally then stores data on your device to keep your input, and uses technical tooling to trace faults. That is needed to make the form work, and it only happens after that deliberate choice. This is why there is no cookie banner.

Your rights

You may ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, have the processing restricted, object to the processing, and receive your data in a common file format so you can take it elsewhere.

Write to kens.vdlaan@planet.nl. We reply within one month. If your request is complex we may extend that by two months, and we will tell you if we do.

If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl, or with the data protection authority in the country where you live.
